Find Your Inner Compass. Build a Life That Actually Sustains You.
Coaching for people who are tired of “pushing through” and ready to move with intention, resilience, and joy.
I help you become who you want to be
Coaching at Inner Compass is not about fixing you. It’s about partnering with you to listen more closely to your own instincts, make small courageous choices, and create a life that supports who you’re becoming.
My vision is to empower a global community where individuals don’t just survive, but thrive. I envision a world where proactive mental and physical well-being is the foundation for every person’s success, leading lives filled with purpose, energy, and joy.
Every day, high-capacity people are pulled in a dozen directions by work, caregiving, and constant change. It’s easy to lose your sense of what truly matters. Coaching gives you a structured, supportive space to pause, recalibrate, and move forward with clarity.

My Path to Coaching
I’m Cory Churches, MBA, Founder & Coach at Inner Compass.
My path runs through complex, fast-paced professional environments, years of endurance sports, high-pressure deadlines, and the real-world labs of burnout and recovery.
Personally, I’ve navigated the sort of things one does when they’ve reached mid-life: parental care, significant personal relationship shifts, reconnecting with my identity as a whole, creative, and empowered person, and determining how I want to apply my purpose to the world around me.
In my personal experience, I’ve seen a pattern: people weren’t struggling because they were weak. They were struggling because they were human, living in systems that rewarded exhaustion and “powering through.”
My coaching coursework is from Mentor Coach, accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). My learning deepened my expertise in health and wellness coaching, positive psychology, and executive leadership. I created Inner Compass to help people step off the ladder of “shoulds” and back into alignment with their own inner guidance.
I am a member of the ICF and adhere to the Core Competencies, Code of Ethics, and commitment to excellence.
Over three decades, I’ve learned that true transformation is fundamentally human, not just technical. My career is built on the belief that courageous leadership and deep empathy are the most powerful drivers of growth.
I discovered a vital truth along the way: the most important evolution you will ever manage is your own. Professional success is meaningless unless it's grounded in personal intention and genuine connection.
My mission is simple: to help you lead with clarity and kindness. I provide the strategic framework for success and the humor to ensure you enjoy the journey.
A Whole-Person, Growth-Oriented Approach
My coaching is grounded in research on burnout, resilience, and self-compassion, and is informed by—but not limited to—positive psychology.
I don’t believe in “good vibes only,” bypassing pain, or forcing silver linings. We start by telling the truth about your reality. From there, we gently shift from a fixed, “this is just how it is” mindset to a more open, curious mindset:
What if more is possible for me here?
What if I’m not stuck with this story forever?
Instead of obsessing over what’s “wrong,” we work with what’s real and what’s available:
Your strengths and values—your inner compass in tough seasons
Tiny, sustainable micro-adjustments that actually fit your life
Gratitude and joy, not as fluff, but as fuel for resilience
Daily rhythms that create capacity and margin—not just more productivity
If you’re ready to explore what could open up when you’re no longer operating from a fixed mindset, let’s schedule a coaching session and map your next step.
